Dr. Mark Allen
I was in an automobile accident as a teenager and didn't realize the damage it caused until I was in my thirties. I had constant headaches and a shoulder problem that ended up preventing me from working. After a year of being unemployed and desperate, I visited a chiropractor and within weeks, I was starting to feel like my old self again. I was so impressed by the results that I went to chiropractic school. I graduated with honors in 1986 from Logan College of Chiropractic.

Growing up with a father for a chiropractor, I heard a lot of stories that seemed like "miracles" some would say. I heard a story about a person that had athlete's foot for years and after a few weeks of adjustments it cleared up. I also heard about several people coming into the office barely walking and then walking out of the office like they never had a problem. I even heard a story about a lady that couldn't get pregnant and after a few weeks of adjustments be able to conceive. All of these things motivated me to look into becoming a chiropractor myself.

A Note About the Chiropractor's Education
The doctor of chiropractic is well educated. After completing the same undergraduate study that other types of doctors get, chiropractic doctors receive still another 4 years of postgraduate college education. Before practicing, they pass a rigorous National Board Examination and meet stringent licensing requirements. To keep up with the latest research, doctors are required to attend seminars, scientific symposia, and read professional journals.
